Grapes on their way!

ektimo outsideGreetings from Sebastopol!

We are so excited to receive our first grapes this coming Sunday for one of our custom crush clients! This year seems to be a smaller crop than average – but not to worry. Smaller crops and smaller grapes yield fruit that is more highly concentrated so the quantity may not be there, but the quality sure is. Expect plenty of yummy wines coming your way from Ektimo’s 2016 vintage. Be on the lookout next week for behind-the-scenes photos from our winery as we begin to document the fruits of this year’s harvest!

In the area? Now is the best time to visit as the wineries gear up for the busiest time of the year! Get in on the action here at Ektimo where you can take a peak at what’s going on inside the winery and then enjoy a glass of wine on our patio under our brand new umbrellas!

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Wine Enthusiast Ratings

wineenthusiast_banner

We have recently received ratings from Wine Enthusiast! We sent 3 wines: 2014 Russian River Valley Chardonnay, 2013 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, and 2013 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir. We are happy to announce that both the Russian River Valley Chardonnay and the Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel were rated at 90 points or higher! This just adds to the numerous accolades that have been awarded to both the Chardonnay and Dry Creek Zinfandels, which have both won a Gold Medal. Though we may be new, our wine is being seen as equal or better to the wines that have been around for ages.
